Our work is underway on a new three-storey sister building for Hull’s Centre for Digital Innovation (C4DI).
The 20,000 sq ft property expands Wykeland’s @TheDock tech campus in the city’s Fruit Market creative quarter.
When it’s completed next summer it will provide space for technology start-ups and rapidly-growing established digital businesses – supporting the creation of 160 jobs.
Andy Hudson, senior operative, said: “Having recently worked on Aura and Orsted I’m excited to be working on another flagship project. As with any project, this build won’t come without its challenges. There will be a small space to work in and we’ll have to be conscious of the city centre traffic when carrying out the construction work.”
David Donkin, Property Director of Hull-based Wykeland, said: “This new building will be much more than a place of work.
“It will complement the existing C4DI building and create the capacity and facilities to accelerate further the exciting growth of the tech economy in Hull and across the wider region.
“The building will offer a range of office sizes to meet pent-up demand from start up, scaled up and established technology businesses that need space to grow, as well as shared spaces that support the spirit of community that enables creativity to flourish.
“As with the original C4DI it will be a place where tech businesses and traditional companies meet, collaborate and innovative.”
This latest project @theDock follows our previous works to construct buildings B2 and C and the timber amphitheatre in 2015/16 (pictured below)
