Putting our best feet forward

In September a team of our staff completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in under-12 hours to raise vital funds for life-changing equipment for the daughter of our colleague Amie Cundill, who suffers from Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Severe Refractory Epilepsy.

In October, at our Foundations Live event, we helped raise over £300 through a raffle for the Lighthouse Club, which supports construction workers and their families.

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Hull Children’s University several of our staff took on the challenge of escaping from a submerged helicopter underwater to raise over £100. We also supported and sponsored the charity’s Supercalifragilistic Ball.

We have also been continuing our support to the Rooted in Hull project, providing materials for the city farm scheme.

2019 also saw us begin a partnership with Run With It – an educational centre which specialises in raising the levels of both literacy and numeracy – sponsoring a school’s learning day.

We have helped raise funds for WISHH (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals) to make hospitals a better place for patients.

Sporting stars of the future

This year we continued to show our support to the stars of the future sponsoring two local badminton stars – Owen Walker and his younger sister Lucy – who have both had excellent years in the sport, winning a host of accolades.
