Despite the challenging and unprecedented period, we have continued our commitment to industry best practice by taking part in the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with our sites being audited and reviewed to confirm a score against each of the five Code headings – appearance, community, environment, safety and workforce.
As COVID-19 has changed our working practices, we have been required to undertake several remote audits, although we are now slowly returning to site-based auditing. The following sites have been highly commended or praised during visits/audits:
- Yorkare Care Home Hornsea (The Mere), was rated high with regards to the community and communication with local residents
- ERFC Hessle was highly commended for the professional image of the site’s appearance and the dedicated environmental information posted with regards to the company contributing to carbon reduction
- Eleanor Scott Cottages was applauded for the remote interaction with the children from nearby Southcoates Primary School where we asked them what Health & Safety means to them (Do’s & Don’ts)
- 79 Lowgate was marked excellent for the safety of staff on site
We were also delighted to see our Hornsea Boat Compound project win a Silver CCS 2020 National Site Award and would like to congratulate the team on site for the exceptional effort made in raising the standards of considerate construction at this scheme.
We look forward to continuing our work on the CCS scheme and to demonstrating the quality and value of all of our sites in these unique and challenging times.
