Jon Craven, Director for Hobson & Porter, said: “This exciting, yet challenging project involved the careful removal and replacement of the original Westmorland slate roof on a number of grade II listed outbuildings on the Beningbrough Hall estate near York. The existing roof was life expired and in need of repair, with all works to be undertaken on a like-for-like basis using original materials and construction methods. The works were carried out adjacent to a busy, operational farm shop, tea room and commercial farm, requiring extensive stakeholder liaison and careful planning. “
